Practitioner Spotlight: Kelly Franklin
Meet Kelly Franklin, one of our recently qualified Level One Senior Practitioners.

"I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years alongside playing rugby and Gaelic football. I thought it would just help ease my injuries and didn't know it was all mind, body and spirit. My yoga teacher would have to guide me into yoga nidras as I was terrible at being still, present and grounding myself. Most of my life I have always been reluctant to relax and slow down (I appreciate what is around me like the joys of nature).
I started training in 2015 alongside teaching at a pupil referral unit. I would run sessions at breaktimes; this went from students dropping by, observing and joking about and not 'needing' yoga to engaging by day 3. This reasonated deeply with me. So it has been a very personal journey so far which I feel have been called to for self-development. Along with practising different elements of yoga (pregnancy, mum and baby, and well woman) I have now come back to my journey with Jyoti and special yoga. I am to start Level 2 advanced practitioner traingin shortly, which is exposing the raw truths I have often avoided in the past. I have also done yoga nidra training, however, I have now decided to continue my practice with special yoga. It has been such a pleasure being part of this legacy that has been created by Jyoti.
Yoga, breathwork and mediation are now a major part of mine and my children's life. I want to expand this out to others. The benefits are immense, it is a game changer! Yoga can be practised anywhere (no mat required) and it can be built into daily movement wherever you are.
Love, compassion, acceptance and working on my intitative - no planning required (unlike teaching). It is free and liberating to guide others in yoga practice. To meet a person where they are with kindness, patience and presence - no fixing is required. Onwards and upwards in this transformational journey for us all."
