A note from Jyoti

We have now passed the moment in the year when we move from light towards the inward call of winter.
The Equinox always feels significant to me. It is a natural invitation to pause, to turn inward and to become more aware of what is happening within.
For me, this is a time of deep introspection, a time to explore and become more present to my inner experience, moment by moment.
How am I speaking to myself?
What am I choosing to focus on?
Where am I choosing to struggle, and where might I choose something different?
Where am I allowing myself to expand into a deeper awareness of who I am?
This kind of awareness is at the heart of our Special Yoga practice.
And there were so many beautiful moments of awareness, insight and learning at our annual retreat this weekend. I came home feeling nourished and uplifted by our ever-expanding Special Yoga community, our Special Yoga family, and deeply touched by the many messages of gratitude I received.
The weekend wasn’t simply about filling up your cup. It was about coming away with an intention to keep your cup filled, to continue nurturing yourself, deepening your practice and your connection to what truly matters.
We’ll be announcing the dates for next year’s retreat soon. You won’t want to miss it!

As we prepare to begin our new Level 2 programme, I have been reflecting on the incredible journey that those who have chosen to join us are about to take. Our theme for this year is Presence and Inner Safety.
The more aware we become of creating a sense of safety within ourselves, the more space we create for the infinite potential that already resides within us to emerge. And this is not simply about our own experience. When we cultivate greater presence and inner safety, it changes the way we meet the world. It changes the way we listen. The way we respond. The way we connect. And, of course, this has a profound impact on the children and adults we work with.
Because regulation begins with us. When we are more present, more grounded and more connected to ourselves, we create the possibility of something different for the person in front of us. We can listen more deeply. We can soften our expectations. We can meet the person rather than the diagnosis, the behaviour or the story.
This is what makes the Level 2 journey so special to me. It is not simply about learning more practices or becoming a more skilled practitioner. It is an invitation to go deeper into ourselves, to embody the principles of Special Yoga so that they become something we live, rather than something we simply teach. And I am so excited to begin this journey with our new group.
We have just a handful of spaces remaining if you feel called to join us.

Perhaps this season of turning inward is offering you an invitation too. To pause. To listen. To become curious. And to discover what might become possible when you create more presence and more safety within yourself.
I can't wait to see where this year's journey takes us.
